Wounded Engineer 3
The wound is healing. I think this guy is going to be OK. The skin may mend itself, but that basketball game is lost forever.

New Brain Age
This is a little better. I didn't feel like my Brain Age was 62. Most of the time it hovers in the low 30s but this was my all-time best.

Figure 1: That's a relief. My Brain age isn't as bad as I thought at first. It takes a while to get used to the interface. It does have excellent handwriting recognition, though.

Old Friends
In the last 48 hours I've had two old friends fill in my contact form on this site. That really made me happy. I won't name them, because one asked me not to and I'm sure the other doesn't especially want to be associated with pictures of dead rabbits either, but these guys are both good old friends from way back in my New Hampshire days and I'm extremely glad they went to the trouble of filling out my form.
I hope this site captures some of that old lighting-stuff-on-fire-I-dare-you-to-touch-the-dead-thing atmosphere of life in suburban New Hampshire in the early 1980s.

Wounded Engineer 2
The wound continues to heal. Good thing, too, because who would do all the satellite circuit testing otherwise?

Wounded Engineer
Our friend the aerospace engineer from the Los Angeles area has sustained a serious injury. He was trying to get a rebound from a guy who can dunk and he got an elbow in his eye. He went down hard and everyone was yelling: "[aerospace engineer whose name has been altered so nobody Google's him and sees his name on this site and thinks he's some kind of weird freak because of that]! [aerospace engineer whose name has been altered so nobody Google's him and sees his name on this site and thinks he's some kind of weird freak because of that]! Are you OK? Dude, that is not good. You need to get stitches, [aerospace engineer whose name has been altered so nobody Google's him and sees his name on this site and thinks he's some kind of weird freak because of that]."
Our poor friend didn't even get to take his foul shot because he was bleading all over everything.

It's interesting to me to look at the search phrases people entered into search engines when they ultimately ended up here. Some of them are funny, some kind of sad.
- sniffed around smell got stronger -- This is my all-time favorite. It's from Google in the UK.
- getting a bandage off without damaging the severe wound -- A Canadian friend searched for that one.
- coffee exchange tucson open 24 -- The Coffee Xchange on Campbell and Grant is, in fact open 24 hours. That earns is the distinction of being my favorite coffee place. Did you ever notice that Coffee Xchange doesn't seem to have a website, though?
- how to prepare myself for a photograph
- pictures of bad sutures
- the easiest way to throw up -- That one makes me sad. Whoever wrote that, you don't need to throw up.
- westnic coupon -- An Australian visitor came adrift on my shores looking for a westnic coupon. I don't even know what one is.
- the longest without blinking -- I wondered that myself.
I sniffed around and the smell got stronger. I was looking for a westnic coupon, but all I found were some pictures of bad sutures torn from a journal article about getting a bandage off without damaging the severe wound.
